Amine and Titanium (IV) Chloride, Boron (III) Chloride or Zirconium (IV) Chloride-Promoted Baylis-Hillman Reactions
The Baylis-Hillman reactions of various aryl aldehydes with methyl vinyl ketone at temperatures below -20C using Lewis acids such as titanium (IV) chloride, boron (III) chloride or zirconium (IV) chloride in the presence of a catalytic amount of selected amines used as a Lewis bases afford the chlorinated compounds 1 as the major product in very high yields. Acrylonitrile can also undergo the s...
متن کاملChloridodimethyl(thiosemicarbazide)tin(IV) chloride
In the title salt, [Sn(CH(3))(2)Cl(CH(4)N(3)S)]Cl, the Sn(IV) atom is five-coordinated in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry with two methyl groups and one S atom in the equatorial plane, and one N atom and one Cl atom occupying the apical positions. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds with set graph-motif C(4) along [010]. N-H⋯ Cl hydrogen bonds...
متن کاملCrystal structure of tin(IV) chloride octahydrate
The title compound, [SnCl4(H2O)2]·6H2O, was crystallized according to the solid-liquid phase diagram at lower temperatures. It is built-up of SnCl4(H2O)2 octa-hedral units (point group symmetry 2) and lattice water mol-ecules. An intricate three-dimensional network of O-H⋯O and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between the complex molecules and the lattice water molecules is formed in the crystal structure.
متن کاملClass IV preparation design for microfilled and macrofilled composite resin.
The current standard preparation for Class IV composite restorations is the placement of a bevel on all enamel margins. This study evaluated chamfered and beveled preparations for Class IV restorations of lesions with microfilled and macrofilled composite resin. Forty incisors were obtained and standardized lesions for Class IV restorations were formed. Twenty teeth had a 1.5-mm bevel placed an...
متن کاملType IV neonatal Bartter syndrome complicated with congenital chloride diarrhea
BACKGROUND Pseudo-Bartter syndrome encompasses a heterogenous group of disorders similar to Bartter syndrome. Sometimes a few status may be nested, as in our case presented here. CASE REPORT An 8-month-old boy was referred to our hospital with of intractable diarrhea, polyuria, persistent hypokalemia, abdominal distension and failure to thrive. He was born in the 34 6/7 gestational week (GW) ...
